Introducing Maci Harding

I know it has been a little while since I posted but I have been very busy. We had little Maci on November 22ND very unexpected but so worth it here is how it all came about.....

So on Monday morning I was walking into work and the parking lot was slick and I slid and fell on my butt and to my embarrassment I peed when I hit the ground but being pregnant sometimes that happens so I had to go home to change and I thought I better call the L&D and see if I am OK to just head back to work they said to come in so that they can monitor me to make sure that the baby was OK. So I went in and they hooked my up to the monitors this was around nine nine thirty so then Dr. Anderson came in and said that he wanted to have me be watched for a little while to make sure I didn't do anything to the placenta he also told me that I needed to decide on a few things Maci was breech so if I had to have her I needed to choose to just have a C-section or try and have her turned. So there I sat waiting to hear what was going on. Trace luckily got off of work early that day and was there with me at two and we decided that we would try and turn her and if it worked great if not then C-Section it is. They checked me and I was at a one and a half two and then the contractions that I have been having for seven to eight weeks got closer and more painful. The nurse called Dr. Anderson and him and her felt that I needed to stay and be monitored a little longer. So by now it is close to five and the nurse said that Dr. Anderson was going to come by after he was done at work. So I have had nothing to eat or drink since seven thirty that morning I'm starving and thirsty by now then in came Dr. Anderson he said to me OK your contractions have eased a some so I'm going to check you and if you have changed at all then you are having a baby if not then I will send you home and you will need to take it easy. So he checked me and I was a three so I was having the baby Dr. Anderson asked if we had Ok lets get an epidural for you so I had the epidural and the doctor was great that gave it to me and was there with me the whole time. Dr Anderson got some mineral oil and poured it on my belly and all over his hands they took the monitor off that checks her heart rate and had the ultra sound machine to watch her heart rate after he tries to turn her so he start to push on my belly I couldn't feel anything Trace was with me the whole time and his mom and my mom and dad were out in the hall waiting. Dr. Anderson stuck the heart monitor on my belly and I could hear this very slow thump thump thump and I thought man my heart sounds weird no that wasn't my heart that was my and Dr. Anderson was like no no no baby come on and then her heart jumped back up in the 150's and Dr. Anderson said OK we are done trying this I'm sorry but you have to have a C- Section and I said that is fine I want my baby healthy and safe. So in I went Trace came in and helped hold my puke bag after the Anesthesiologist held it for awhile and then I heard the noise I have been waiting 37 weeks to hear her cry and I started to cry and Trace cried and they picked her up and let me see her. Trace went over and watched them clean her off and they brought her over to me and let me kiss her and they had to take her to be first to go and I told him I'm fine I have tons of people here with me you go with her. So Dr. Anderson and Dr. Nance were the two that cut me open and sewed me shut. I finally got wheeled down to the room and my little peanut came done weighing in at 5 15 and 18 inches long she was a peanut. We love her so much and so do the grandparents my mom and dad are thrilled to finally have a grand baby.
